Mathieu Valbuena
« on: May 30, 2019, 04:19:17 AM »
Mathieu Valbuena born 28 September 1984) is a French international footballer who plays for Olympiacos. He plays as an attacking midfielder and a winger and is known for his pace, technical ability, and tenacious style of play. He is described by his former coach at Libourne Saint-Seurin Didier Tholot as "an explosive player who is capable of quickly taking two opponents out of the game to create space, above all due to his dribbling skills." Due to his small stature, Valbuena is nicknamed le petit vélo, which translates to "the small bike". This is a play on Valbuena's size and the fact that the home ground of Marseille, where he played for eight years, is called the Stade Vélodrome.

My concern is his age and whether he is past. The guy can play ,and can score goals . He didn’t light up in Turkey either the last 2 seasons but apparently he was unhappy there.
Hopefully he turns out to be an Ibagaza signing for us.

He is out for the OFI and Bayern matches due to a injury in training.

He was missed against Bayern, could have used his link up skills.  Hope he recovers soon.
