We seem to have problems in the derbies ( except against Askari) . We dominated the 2nd half especially after that dud Bouchalakis was removed and had chances to win the game .
The result may be unjust as we deserved to win , but we are making a habit of this especially against BAOG.
Considering we had a midweek CL game and BAOG were scratching their balls , the team finished with good energy levels and chased the win.
I will say this again, if we are serious about becoming a powerhouse team the likes of Bouchalakis quality players need to be sent packing.

The passion is there, we honestly should have won several of these types of games this season. I can think of 4 off the top of my head. We are missing that last piece which is killer instinct like kalavrios stated.
We’re missing a genuine goal scorer /poacher

I only caught the last 30 minutes.

The team played pretty well, they switched the ball nicely and the wingers and backs did a good job of playing around and trying to create.

But it was painfully obvious the team needed a central attacking mid.

Soudani is a goal threat from the wing, El-Arabi knows where the net is, Podence can do cute little things, but you need an Attacking Mid that can play in the center of the park and we don't have that. Given that man isn't available, we still piled on pressure but just couldn't get the win.

We have had a number of these “coulda shoulda woulda” games this fall ... makes you wonder what the results would have been with fortunis.

Those games are wins with Fortounis. The closest thing we have to a decent #10 is valbuena. As we feared, he can't be expected to lead the offense when he's constantly injured.

Bouchalakis is not starting material. Early on in the season when he had a fantastic run of form there was a case for it, but now that he has reverted to typical Bouchalakis form, it's beyond frustrating to watch. It took almost half a season last year for us to find our perfect midfield pairing, Camara/Guilherme. There's no reason for us to shy away from that.

There is also 0 reason that Soudani should not be starting in every SL game. He brings intensity and passion and doesn't give up the ball cheaply. If we have Europa league after the break, he needs to be in our European list as well. He brings intensity on the wing and in the AM role even though his technical ability is more limited than Valbuena or Fortounis. Until we find another solution to the #10 position, perhaps we should just use him going forward?

On the wings, we appear to have forgotten about the likes of Lazar and Lovera...... When we have young potential sitting on the bench with great skill and ability to get forward, there's no reason why we should be suffering the likes of Masouras in Greece.

Regardless, going into the break we have 2 concerns. We need a #10 and we need another CB so Meriah can fuck off.
